Please find below a summary of the crime and incident trends recorded on the NL62 beat over the past 35 days. This update is intended to keep you informed, raise awareness, and support crime prevention within our community.

🔐 Residential Burglaries – 5 incidents

There have been five residential burglaries reported. Offenders have primarily targeted properties during hours of darkness. We encourage residents to ensure doors and windows are securely locked, use timer switches for lighting, and report any suspicious activity.

⚠️ Robbery – 5 incidents

Five robberies have occurred within the beat area. Officers have increased patrols in hotspot locations and are conducting reassurance visits.

🚗 Theft From Motor Vehicle – 11 incidents

Vehicles left insecure or with valuables on display remain common opportunities for offenders. Please remember:

Remove all items from view

Double-lock your vehicle

Report any suspicious behaviour around parked cars

🚲 Theft of Pedal Cycle / Motor Vehicle – 6 incidents

Six thefts involving bicycles or motor vehicles have been recorded. We recommend:

Using high‑quality D‑locks for pedal cycles

Parking vehicles in well-lit, overlooked areas

Ensuring motorbikes are secured to a fixed object where possible

🛍️ Shop Theft – 38 incidents

Retailers have reported thirty-eight incidents of shop theft. We are working closely with local businesses, reviewing CCTV, and conducting joint patrols to identify offenders and reduce further incidents.

📌 Burglary Other Than Dwelling (BOTD) – 7 incidents

Seven incidents of burglary other than dwelling have been reported. Offenders have targeted outbuildings, sheds, garages, and commercial premises. Please consider additional security such as robust locks, motion lighting, and CCTV where possible.
